Beauty Product Review: Jurlique Purely Bright Cleanser and Jurlique Balancing Foaming Cleanser

*This post may contain affiliate links. Please see my full disclosure policy for more information.*
I've consciously tried to find more products that contain only natural ingredients.  Ever since I started reading and understanding that many of the popular products that I normally use contain ingredients that aren't actually great for my skin, I am slowly transitioning them out of my routine (e.g. I am sad to see quite a few ingredients containing parabens in my former beloved Cetaphil cleanser).  I had read a little about Jurlique (blame it on Oprah!) and was happy to review a few of their cleansers when they sent me a package.
I was happy with the effectiveness of both cleansers.  They both rinsed my skin well without leaving my skin stripped.  The bright cleanser is a creamy cleanser and takes off makeup nicely.  The foaming cleanser is a good liquid cleanser though the pump or formula stopped foaming after a while.  I would otherwise gladly purchase either cleanser - natural ingredients and effectively cleansing are definitely aspects I look for in a facial cleaner!

Nigerian Fashion: an interview with( The Man) Mr. Michael the Magic fingers behind ASANDREA COLLECTION

FASHION ,
With its beginnings in the late 17th century, the fashion industry is a globalized sector that works to meet the demand for apparel and dictates the trends for what should be worn. This industry consists of five distinct and separate levels.
These levels are haute couture, luxury wear, affordable luxury wear, mainstream clothing, and discount clothing. The production part of the industry, that which takes the concept for a piece of apparel all the way to the hands of those who purchase it, is made up of four basic sectors.
These sectors include producers of the goods necessary to make the apparel, those who create the pieces, those who advertise and market the goods, and those who sell the goods. The industry largely began in Paris, as seamstresses who once made single garments turned to establishing boutiques that catered to those desiring couture clothing.
The first and most well-known dressmaker to do this was Charles Frederick Worth. These beginnings are where the foundations of haute couture were laid. It is in this tradition that this level of the fashion industry continues today.
With Nigerian fashion designers making a space for themselves in global fashion arena and also bringing international fashion home, Nigerian fashion industry is no longer recognized as an amateur industry, confined to local limits.
Alongside home, Nigerian fashion is also paving its way in global fashion destinations like Paris,.......complete this story here

Oscar Pistorius. Photo / AP
UPDATE: Oscar Pistorius has been sensationally cleared of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
With his shoulders shaking, the Paralympian broke down in tears in the dock as the judge delivered her verdict.
Pistorius had been accused of shooting the 30-year-old model during a furious row at his Pretoria home on Valentine’s Day last year.
But he had always maintained – through cries, wails and breakdowns during his six-week trial – that he shot the law graduate in self-defence after mistaking her for an intruder.......complete story here

Ihejirika, sponsor Boko Haram?

*Ihejirika

An Australian hostage negotiator, Dr. Stephen Davies made some startling statements last week, and it was widely reported by the on-line news magazine, Sahara Reporters. There was a certain inordinate glee in its reports, being as some of its critics now aver, that the folks at Sahara Reporters like to throw sand in the eyes of the Jonathan administration. To be fair, it is the professional duty of Sahara Reporters to throw sand in the eyes of the administration whenever it could, particularly where the administration is belligerent and hard of hearing on matters of grave national concern.
There are many who will certainly say that in certain matters of urgent national concern, the Jonathan administration seems hard of hearing. On the matter of Boko Haram, certainly, the administration seems hard of hearing because it is trying the same failed tactics over and over with the same result; or properly speaking, lack of results. Those who try the same things and have the same results and yet continue to do the same things to invariant results are either too dumb for words or are candidates for the loony bin. Let me be the first here to accept that governing is not an easy task; it requires a certain level of scrotal foundation and fortitude of the kind that can coldly lop off a head in the interest of a nation. Sometimes also, what the governed see is not always what is; there are dimensions of truth that may be too haunting to tell, and too sublime to even communicate to the public. Yet, even with these facts, it requires a willing and steady hand to steer nations through murky waters. Such a stea
dy hand is what Nigerians are looking to see in President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, on this matter of national security. Nigerians are not seeing a steady hand.......read more
