Another attempt by Boko Haram: to attack Chibok fails, as locals flee villages

Locals from Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State have said that Boko Haram members came to their villages with vehicles and motorcycles to attack the villages but changed their mind for unknown reason and went back into the bushes prompting villagers to flee their homes for fear that they may come back to attack the villages again.
Bukar Saleh, a resident of Chibok told Sunday Tribune that a lot of villagers are now fleeing to Askira/Uba and  Maiduguri as most of the villages around Chibok were deserted.
“One of my uncles who called this morning told me that last night, Boko Haram came around but they did not know why they changed their minds and spared the village.”
Speaking on the abducted school girls, Bukar said that, some of the parents of the abducted students who pursued the abductors claimed that they saw where the girls were camped but they could not approach them as they did not have  weapons with which to fight and rescue their children.
