Stop persecuting Yakowa in death -Southern Kaduna

Indigenes of Southern Kaduna in Kaduna State on Tuesday  asked Governor Mukhtar Yero to remain silent if he had no evidence that his late boss Patrick Yakowa left an empty.
The indigenes of the Southern Kaduna noted that soon after the demise of state governor in an helicopter crash in Bayelsea State in December 2012, the governor had at different forums claimed that the late governor left nothing in the purse of the state.
Under the aegis of the Concerned Realists of Southern Kaduna Professionals, they said it was time  for the governor to stop persecuting their late son even as they were yet to come out of  the shock which arose from his death almost two years ago.
They however added that if the governor had concrete evidence that the late governor left empty treasury, he should bring such forward rather than talking ill of the death.
The Convener of the group, Dr. John Danfulani, who spoke  at a press conference in Kaduna on Tuesday, insisted that no government the world over had ever met a robust treasury, noting that it took leaders with ideas to create wealth for the sustainability of the state.
Apart from asking the governor to halt the persecution of his late boss, Danfulani  asked the governor to forget his dream of coming back to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, the seat of power come 2015 because the people of the area had vowed to mobilized against him.
This, he noted was based on the governor’s posture to the sundry crises in the southern part of the state, saying  that the  governor had deliberately abandoned the report of the Peace and Reconciliation Committee which the late governor set up that would bring a lasting peace to the state.
He added that the governor not only scuttled  most of the project initiated by his late predecessor but had deliberately  abandoned all projects  meant for  the southern part of the state.
He said,  “Stop persecuting Yakowa in death; you remain unelectable in Southern Kaduna come 2015.Your insensitivity to the killings ravaging the Southern Kaduna area of Kaduna State; deceit and deliberate scuttle of all projects started by late Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa
“All the road projects and other projects initiated by late Yakowa which Governor Yero promised to continue with have been put on hold without sufficient reasons. Apart from the new Kaduna Bridge constructed by the late Governor which was said to have been named after Yakowa, Governor Yero has not found it worthy to name a significant institution or structure after the late Governor.”
